Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are necessary to keep
CDI members
on the cutting edge of the employment industry. Earning CEUs is easy
and only requires time and a desire to learn and contribute.
The CDI Certification Team
encourages you to earn CEUs outside your particular field of expertise,
but recognizes all efforts made to achieve continuing education. CDI
recognizes most CEUs based on actual classroom hours (online or in person)
for any particular training or outside activity. For example, we encourage
you to attend the CDI Annual Convention which nets at least 14 CEUs.
However, we recognize other annual industry conferences and transfer those
CEUs directly toward your continued training.
The
CDI Certification Team
recognizes other ways to earn CEUs (ex: writing articles, writing a
synopsis of an industry related book, etc.) and encourages your creativity
when submitting outside work for CEU credit. Simply submit CEU
verification to info@careerdirectors.com when signing up for renewal.
Each CDI program lists individual
renewal / CEU requirements. Membership is a prerequisite of maintaining
all CDI credentials.

All requirements of certification, renewal,
and CDI membership standards must be maintained in order to
retain a CDI credential. CDI reserves the right to revoke
a credential for any of the following:
-
Renewal requirements are not maintained
and completed within required timelines.
-
Individual
violates CDI Ethics
and Standards with a substantial grievance which results in
termination or suspension of membership for unprofessional,
unethical, or unlawful conduct and/or business practices.
