1. What is your innovation? Please
describe what it is, its purpose, etc.
CareerShift offers the most comprehensive
online resource, designed to support the # 1 request of job seekers: an
easy to use web site to conduct and organize their job search.
CareerShift provides users a dynamic
internet-based job search tool of continuously up dated job postings, a
company contact search capability enhancing networking needs, as well as
a storage and management tool for the overall successful job search
process.
It is presently being used in several
markets;
- Schools and universities are
offering CareerShift to their students and alumni
- Companies offer CareerShift as an
affordable virtual outplacement service to all employees, not just
the employees who traditionally have been offered such services.
- Job Coaches use CareerShift with
their clients. It provides a very easy to use web service tool for
those who are not adept at internet job search or lack the
technology skills to do so.
- Individual Job Seekers on the Web
use CareerShift for their proactive job seeking.
- Recruiters/Hiring Managers use
CareerShift to mine for passive candidates to fill posted, as well
as hidden jobs.
2. Why do you consider your innovation
to be innovative?
Up until now, no other web resource
offers so many things in one place, linked together. It’s simple. It’s
confidential. It’s Convenient. It’s affordable. Not all job seekers are
comfortable with the internet. Not all job coaches have astute internet
job search credentials to offer their clients. Not all schools have the
manpower to help all of their students. Not all companies can afford to
provide traditional outplacement benefits for their large number of
severed employees. We have created an economical solution to help each
of them.
3. Is your innovation unique or a
variation of something that already exists? If it is not unique, please
provide a list of similar products (including URLs if possible) and
describe how you believe yours is different.
There are many internet job sites, a few
aggregate from the internet. However, CareerShift is the only web
service to provide job seekers with the ability to easily link
information from posted jobs, company information, and people in
organizations, in one place where they can remain focused and organized.
While other resources offer parts of the
job search, CareerShift brings it all together! CareerShift has 2
patents pending for the unique way we can bring things together so
easily for users.
4. What influence or benefit does your
innovation have on the careers industry? Who does it help and how
(career professionals, job seekers, etc.)?
For schools and universities: CareerShift
provides an easy to use set of applications and tools to conduct their
internet job search, practice the art of networking, send
communications, and setting reminders for follow up, all in one
location. It’s the proactive piece of the job search. Career Services
professionals hail CareerShift for their student usage, the ability to
use CareerShift in workshops, and to use themselves to build their
corporate partnerships.
For Company’s downsizing: CareerShift is
a low-cost alternative to traditional outplacement, an effective benefit
to those in career transition. It’s an easy-to-use tool to crack the
hidden job market and manage a job hunt. CareerShift puts individuals
actively on the job market within minutes, focusing them on the future –
not the past. It moves the employee toward building a new career, and
sends the message that the company is invested in its people and their
ultimate career.
For Job Coaches: CareerShift provides an
easy to use template for teaching the job search process, in a simple
format that provides for immediate success in proactive job seeking
actions. It can be used as an add-on to existing business service
offerings.
For Individual internet job seekers:
CareerShift provides the opportunity to search, store, communicate and
organize many elements of the job search, whether in the active or
passive job hunt. It allows for confidential job seeking activities,
since each account holder chooses who to communicate with. Resume
posting is not a requirement for use, as in other web resources.
For the recruiter/hiring manager:
Provides the ability to search and store, network and communicate with
passive candidates to fill current vacancies or soon to be open
opportunities.

Michael Queally of Resume
Partners Pty Ltd:
iResume & iCoverLetter -
www.resumepartners.com.au/iresume/
1. What is your innovation? Please
describe what it is, its purpose, etc.
Resume Partners would like to put forward
its i tool as their ground breaking innovation. iResume/iCoverLetter,
like many good innovations, were born out of the sheer need to address a
serious issue in the market, in this case, the lack of quality resumes
and the general inability of many to tailor a resume or letter of
application to a specific role. With unprecedented economic growth for
well over a decade, there has been no call for a tailored approach as
employers fought over scarce skills and almost every industry had an
abundance of roles to choose from. This all changed midway through 2008
(in Australia) and continues to do so into 2009. We read about doom and
gloom everyday. We believe that the traditional approach of tailoring
ones resume and cover letter to a specific application will become a
necessity as jobs become scarce.
Product
iResume is delivered online, starting
with a blank canvas and creating three different types of resume in a
one hour long information packed tutorial. With some clever animation
and a superb audio presentation we create a chronological resume from
the beginning, demonstrating the various choices one will have and
explaining the reasons behind the chosen methodology by exploring each
option. Once we’ve completed the chronological resume, we create a
skills based (functional) resume from the same document. We finish with
the combined resume by demonstrating how to tailor a resume to a
specific role.
iCoverLetter analyses the application
process by demonstrating how to extract the key criteria from an
advertisement and create an application from many different
perspectives. Job seeking scenarios we cover include the online
application, applications with and without employer/recruiter contact
details. We also demonstrate speculative approaches to desired employers
again analysing situations where full contact details are both available
and unavailable.
2. Why do you consider your innovation
to be innovative?
I have yet to see a resume product on the
market delivered in this format or achieving what the outcomes we our
product achieves. We address the three main learning groups, Audio,
Kinesthetic and Visual and we also demonstrate the 3 main types of
resume, Chronological, Functional and Combined. We have further
developed the common method of writing one’s resume by starting with a
job description (many people leave their resume at this level) and
developing the points into achievement based points. Rather than simply
telling users what to do, we demonstrate the alternatives in resume
layout and design so that they understand the options available to them
and which option best suits their circumstance.
Most encouraging has been the reaction
from the Outplacement Industry and Career Guidance Counselors who
immediately latched on to the time saving benefit offered by this
product. Rather than spending many hours in individual meetings showing
how to write a resume, this product will slash hours off this process
leaving the counsellor to add value in other areas
3. Is your innovation unique or a
variation of something that already exists? If it is not unique, please
provide a list of similar products (including URLs if possible) and
describe how you believe yours is different.
My innovation is unique!
4. What influence or benefit does your
innovation have on the careers industry? Who does it help and how
(career professionals, job seekers, etc.)?
Benefits are for both job seeker and
career professionals.
This innovation will help any job seeker
who needs a resume. We demonstrate how to write the 3 main types of
resume, Chronological, Functional, Combined and guide individuals on the
appropriate use of each resume type.
The product has already been well
received and picked up by some universities, online education
institutions, the outplacement industry and some job network providers
(agencies who offer services to the government to assist job seekers
back to the workforce).

Joan Murrin of University of
Iowa:
Dual Career Network (DCN) program -
www.uiowa.edu/~dcn
1. What is your innovation? Please
describe what it is, its purpose, etc.
The University of Iowa made a pioneering
commitment in 1994 to establish a program dedicated to assisting spouses
and partners of new faculty and staff in securing employment. At that
time, only a handful of universities were offering ad hoc employment
assistance to their typically female “trailing spouses.” Joan Murrin,
and later, Heidi McLaughlin, were hired to implement a program which was
to play a strategic role in recruitment and retention of new talent. The
program is the Dual Career Network (DCN), which has become an
international model for programs across the United States and Canada.
The DCN is a fee-free service of The
University of Iowa and assists the client through the entire job search
process and serves every occupation, from entry level sales associates
and general laborers, to C-level executives and cardiologists. Clients
may be just starting a career, or may be at any other junction of their
career development. The website for the program is: (www.uiowa.edu/~dcn)
2. Why do you consider your innovation
to be innovative?
-
Branding
a new service: The DCN is a “hybrid” service from student-focused
career services (typical in college and university settings), and
general outplacement, and recruitment. A dual career
-
Program
is unique because it serves a specific clientele and incorporates
elements of other career-based industries such as career coaching,
resume writing, etc. Page 1
-
Defining
a “process”: The DCN was the first among dual career programs to
define a “process” a client would proceed through until employed.
The process defines both the client’s responsibilities in that
process and those of the DCN. The process is designed to provide
valuable local expertise and assistance, while empowering the
client. The client receives continuous moral support and begins to
feel that connection to their new environment, which is a key
component of the retention portion of recruitment and hiring.
-
Changing
Language: The DCN has initiated discussion among other programs
around who a “trailing spouse” might be and has been instrumental in
changing stereotypes. The DCN serves same-sex couples, co-habitating
couples, married couples, and engaged couples, and has encouraged
disuse of the term “trailing spouse” in favor of “accompanying
partner.”
- Developing protocols: The DCN has
developed terminology, methodologies, copyrighted materials, and
standard metrics which are now held up as industry standards. For
example, the DCN coined the term “limited service appointment” as a
one-time appointment to meet with people requesting DCN services,
but who did not fit the service requirements. Many programs have
adopted use of limited service appointments rather than turning away
those who do not fit strict program guidelines.
In addition, the DCN is a leader in
capturing program metrics to show outcomes and trending. Data
collected includes tracking clients served, length of job search,
services provided, starting salaries, where clients were hired, and
demographics including male/female and minority data. Providing
outcomes allows for a framework to demonstrate return on investment
(ROI) data for dual career programs. DCN staff gave a presentation
on this topic at the 2007 Dual Career Conference at Cornell
University. Notes from that presentation may be viewed at:
http://www.ohr.cornell.edu/jobs/connectCornell/dualCareerConference/Metrics_Presentation.pdf
. The DCN annual report may be viewed at:
Annual Report 2008
-
Serving
as consultant: The DCN has assisted more than 50 universities in
establishing dual career programs. Assistance has been in the form
of providing materials, consultation, on-site training to new dual
career practitioners, speaking at national conferences, and on-going
collaboration as a program is developed.
-
Developing benchmarks: The DCN initiated an annual international
dual career conference in 2003, which has been hosted each year
since then by a different university and has led to the formation of
the Higher Education Dual Career Network (HEDCN), an informal
collaboration between universities with dual career programs. The
HEDCN website is
http://sites.google.com/site/dualcareer/. The goals of an annual
conference were to establish benchmark practices among existing
programs and provide universities without programs with information
on current trends and practices.
-
Promoting
credentials: The DCN is a strong proponent of credentialing in both
resume writing and career coaching and has provided certification
information to the programs asking for assistance. Both Joan Murrin
and Heidi McLaughlin have secured their CPRW (Certified Professional
Resume Writer) and (JCTC) International Job and Career Transition
Coach certifications.
- Developing external revenue streams:
The DCN is the only program which has developed contractual
relationships with other colleges/universities and industries. These
partners outsource their dual career hiring needs to the DCN,
providing the DCN with an additional, external revenue stream. Page
2 J. Providing expertise: Because of the unique nature of this
program, DCN staff members have been invited speakers to numerous
local, national conference and international events, and have been
written about and quoted in news publications. Some most recent
events are listed below:
- (Pending) Invitation from
University of Tübingen and the U.S. Embassy in Germany to speak
at July, 2009 symposium, and to tour other area universities to
speak about dual career issues and program ideas.
3. Is your innovation unique or a
variation of something that already exists? If it is not unique, please
provide a list of similar products (including URLs if possible) and
describe how you believe yours is different.
While it would be misleading to say that
no dual career services were provided anywhere prior to The University
of Iowa’s program, the DCN has proactively evolved over time, made
significant changes as technology, careers, economics, and demands
warranted, and has become the “model” for other institutions. It is
becoming more common for universities to provide this service and each
program developed is unique to the needs of the particular community and
circumstances.
Following are two letters written by
other dual career practitioners about the uniqueness of The University
of Iowa’s Dual Career Network:

President David Skorton
University of Iowa

Dear President Skorton,
I am writing to let you know what a
helpful model the University of Iowa Dual Career Network was when, as
part of the Office of Human Resources, I helped create the Dual Career
Program at Cornell University. Since Iowa began their program in 1994,
many other major universities have also come to recognize that
recruiting the best faculty requires formal and significant support for
the dual career partner. In fact, Cornell University started its Dual
Career Program just two and a half years Page 3 ago, another Big Ten
university is resurrecting its program, and many other universities are
now creating or expanding dual career programs. Iowa’s Dual Career
Network served as a model for many of these programs.
As I began researching dual career issues
two and a half years ago, I was thrilled to discover that Iowa had the
most active, and, I believe, one of the best programs in the country. My
husband began his career as a professor at the Iowa Law School in 1975.
We were always very proud of how forward-thinking Iowa was and I was
happy to confirm that it was still true years later when I discovered
that Iowa already had a Dual Career Network that was both cutting edge
and effective.
Since the Cornell University Dual Career
Program was created, I have had dual career clients tell me they chose
Cornell specifically because of the existence of the Dual Career
Program. Additionally, many dual career clients who were supported in
their job search are now successfully employed, thus preventing
retention issues in the future. I’m sure there are many comparable
stories at Iowa.
I have learned from experience that
offering dual career partners significant job search support can have a
positive impact on recruiting first-rate faculty. Given that Cornell has
benefited so much from the Iowa model, I wanted to take a moment to
thank you and offer my perspective on your wonderful program.
Regards,
Betsy Hillman
Michelle Fleig-Palmer
Dual Career Program Director
University of Nebraska, Kearney
May 18, 2004
Dr. David J. Skorton, President
101 Jessup Hall
President's Office
Iowa City, Iowa 52242-1316
Dear Dr. Skorton,
I would like to extend my gratitude to
yourself and Ms. Joan Murrin for your support of the Dual Career
Conference at Purdue University last month. It was an extraordinary
experience to meet directors of major research universities and to
strategize methods for improving the recruitment and retention of
faculty.
Without a doubt, the University of Iowa's
Dual Career Program is regarded as the preeminent leader in this field.
When other universities want to begin to offer services to the partners
of new faculty, they invariably turn to the University of Iowa and Ms.
Murrin for guidance. Ms. Murrin's expertise in successfully assisting
the University of Iowa's recruitment efforts is widely respected.
Recognizing that our goal as academics is
to share knowledge, I am personally grateful for Ms. Murrin's efforts to
epitomize that goal. Whether perusing your Dual Career website to gather
ideas Page 4 or listening to Ms. Murrin present at a conference, I have
learned much that has enabled the University of Nebraska at Kearney's
Dual Career Program to significantly improve.
In addition, the demographics of faculty
across the United States will have a detrimental effect on recruitment
in the coming years. At least 20% of faculty nationwide are nearing
retirement age. Also, the supply of new Ph.D.'s will be shrinking
because doctoral programs do not have the funding to support as many
doctoral students as they did in the past. The increased number of
retirements combined with fewer doctoral graduates will result in a much
more limited supply of candidates.
That is why the University of Iowa's Dual
Career Program is so impressive. The existence of such a program
demonstrates your understanding that the recruitment of top faculty
candidates is increasingly dependent on assisting the trailing spouses
with their employment needs. By seriously addressing the career concerns
of the trailing spouses, the University of Iowa is able to attract
faculty candidates that can continue the tradition of providing the
quality educational and research programs.
Once again, thank you to the University
of Iowa for co-sponsoring the Dual Career Conference. It was a very
informative and worthwhile conference.

4. What influence or benefit does your
innovation have on the careers industry? Who does it help and how
(career professionals, job seekers, etc.)?
The emergence and prominence of dual
career programs has created a need to closely align with the careers
industry professional associations. DCN staff are members of Career
Directors International, Career Management Alliance, Professional
Association of Resume Writers and Career Coaches, National Resume
Writers Association, and Career Planning and Adult Development Network.
As members, we believe in and promote not only membership in these
organizations, but the credentialing provided. The DCN prides itself on
staying “on top” of the latest industry trends and the way we do that is
through our association with the careers industry. For example, by our
Page 5 association with the resume writing industry, we are able to
provide our clients with the latest, most effective information on how
to create dynamic job search documents. We regularly attend teleseminars
and occasionally attend national conferences. We receive professional
association newsletters and have contributed articles that speak from
the dual career angle.
It is also interesting to note that
private career practitioners are now becoming aware of the “dual career
trend” and are including these services in their portfolios. The DCN
recently learned that in the state of California, for example, private
career coaches provide dual career services to local businesses to aid
their recruiting efforts. In addition, in 2008, a private practitioner
contacted the DCN for advice on how to “pitch” her services to a major
university, and has since begun providing this outsourced service.
Our knowledge and involvement in the
careers industry has the best influence on the clients (job seekers) we
serve. By utilizing the latest career industry techniques, we move our
clients through the “process” quickly, they secure employment, and get
on with the job of living their life in their new community.

visitors prior to discussing any rates. * Associates’ Qualifications
detailed in question 1 below.
1. What is your innovation? Please
describe what it is, its purpose, etc.
After identifying a need during a
professional conference, in 2001, for our colleagues to have access to
affordable and reliable personal style assessments which would help them
understand the unique styles of clients, to quickly identify personal
strengths for document development, and to help career transition
clients with career exploration, I developed ProfilingPro as a division
of my résumé writing and career advancement business, JaneCo’s Sensible
Solutions.
As a Certified Professional Behavioral
Analyst, since 1995, I had used and continue to use DISC-based reports
with every résumé client, every interview coaching client, with clients
in need of educational planning, with clients in career transition, with
businesses for their employee selection, etc and for presentations for a
wide variety of audiences. Therefore, I was confident I could educate,
motivate, encourage and provide the services within our career community
to help both my colleagues and, in turn, their clients. ProfilingPro has
worked hard to gain the reputation among its colleagues as the #1
provider of DISC – based online behavioral assessments and various other
relevant reports, since 2001.
The purpose of ProfilingPro is to provide
résumé writers and/or career coaches with materials, services and
ongoing support in the use of the widely used, validated, accurate and
EEOC approved DISC - based Behavioral Assessments. *An association with
ProfilingPro is reserved exclusively for those who are members of CDI,
The Alliance, PARW/CC, NRWA and/or AORCP.
The goal of ProfilingPro is to provide
the opportunity for colleagues to cost- effectively become Authorized
DISC Administrators/Behavioral Consultants, while receiving customized
help for them to reach their specific goals and in many cases even
expand their service packages.
ProfilingPro has expanded since 2001 to
offer Values Assessments plus one reliable, nationally recognized Sales
Competency Test. Additionally, ProfilingPro provides its associates the
benefit of providing web page résumés as an extra service to their
clients for yet another profit center for their businesses.
2. Why do you consider your innovation
to be innovative?
No other comparable assessment provider
caters exclusively to the résumé writing and career coaching community
with its services, materials, support and a customized Internet Delivery
Service (IDS) system. The IDS system stores all reports and provides a
wealth of options to manage the reporting process, such as converting
one report version to another and into other languages. The technology
behind the (IDS) system provides all associates with ProfilingPro, who
are known as Administrators, the benefit of processing a variety of
personal style reports with their own company logos and contact
information appearing on each report processed through their individual
IDS system. A client sees only what the Administrator sets as the
permissions for the client to view. There are no advertisements at the
site where a client takes the assessment. The only visual at the
assessment site is the Administrator’s company logo and customized
welcome message. Complete instructions are viewed and when the
assessment has been completed the client is routed to the
Administrator’s website as a seamless and professional operation. The
client receives no contact (marketing efforts) from any outsider . . .
ever. This enhances the credibility of the career professional.
3. Is your innovation unique or a
variation of something that already exists? If it is not unique, please
provide a list of similar products (including URLs if possible) and
describe how you believe yours is different.
While there are hundreds of tests,
measurements and assessments on the market, ProfilingPro provides access
to the most widely-used, validated, reliable and accurate DISC-based
behavioral profiles and Values/Motivational Assessments. The reports are
used in 40 countries and printed in 23 languages.
There are nearly 7000 distributors of the
assessments who deliver services for Management Consulting for both
large and small businesses. Their field of specialty with training and
support is for employee selection, teambuilding, harmony in the
workplace, sales training, customer service training and other various
business related goals and objectives. ProfilingPro is the only source
for education and materials exclusively designed for our career
colleagues as they use our assessments while working with job seeking
clients.
Additional credibility note - - - All
clients see the following notice: By participating in the Council of
Better Business Bureau's BBBOnLine Privacy Program and Safe Harbor, we
have made a commitment to meet the program's strict requirements
regarding how we treat your information.
4. What influence or benefit does your
innovation have on the careers industry? Who does it help and how
(career professionals, job seekers, etc.)?
ProfilingPro enables our career
colleagues to have access to professional assessment tools to serve
their clients with an affordable investment and to experience an
additional profit center. Colleagues are using the information from the
reports to gain immediate rapport with a client and for gleaning
interpersonal skills for résumé development and various other marketing
materials for their job-seeking clients. Additionally, professional
writers can be confident that they are writing cover letters and other
professional correspondence in the voice of the client. ProfilingPro
provides education on using the reports for developing branding
statements, for interview preparation and even for use within an
interview portfolio. For colleagues who help clients in career
transition, two versions of the reports generate ONET codes appropriate
for the client’s style. The free coaching workbooks available will guide
the client through a complete career exploration process.
We have found that clients’ reports serve
as marketing material when friends, family, new employers and others who
are not necessarily job seekers, have a desire for their own assessment
process and consequently make contact with the career professional for
the sole purpose of having a personal assessment processed.
ProfilingPro Administrators have an
private elist, which serves as an automatic email forum where
participating members can easily communicate and discuss their
strategies, writing techniques, business operations, pricing strategies,
sales/marketing ideas, client relations, and other issues related to the
career consulting and résumé industry. They also receive newsletters and
announcements with continuing educational materials to help them enjoy
perpetual success and to consider areas for their own professional
development and business expansion. Colleagues associated with
ProfilingPro are providing a valuable add-on product to their clients as
they touch their lives and make positive changes.
Visit the “Benefits of Profiling” link
from the navigation bar in the public area or

have benefited with the services and materials from ProfilingPro.

Career Worksheets for All Professions -

1. What is your innovation? Please
describe what it is, its purpose, etc.
Career Worksheets for All Professions CD
- The Career Worksheets For All Professions CD contains
profession-specific client intake worksheets for 2200+ positions used
around the world by resume writers and career coaches directly, and by
job seeker clients indirectly.
The Career Worksheets help resume writers
and career coaches gather all of their clients’ critical background
information and expertise—specific to their individual professions and
positions—needed to create winning resumes, manage career coaching, and
streamline their entire work process—whether they work with clients in
person or virtually. It supersedes the “generic worksheet” previously
used to garner client information.
Each profession-specific, comprehensive
client worksheet includes an employment section, numerous resume
keywords (Areas of Expertise section), personal attributes, and
responsibility and achievement questions—for over 2,200 positions. The
resume keywords they contain include over 18,000 keywords—the largest
compilation in the world (the most recently published keywords book
includes only 2500). In addition to the profession-specific questions,
each worksheet includes staff management questions (if applicable) and
generic questions. And the type of questions each worksheet includes are
direct questions and questions with optional answers making it easier
for clients to supply related information. Plus the questions are asked
in resume jargon, so that the resume writer can simply take the question
and answer and make easy resume bullets to write resumes.
For ease of use by career professionals,
when the Career Worksheets CD Version 4 is inserted into the computer,
you will find three main folders: one by profession (see list below)
which contains the position category worksheets within it, one
alphabetically by position category (see list at end of this document),
and the last folder contains worksheets with only the
profession-specific questions (to use for clients with a myriad of
experience and/or for resume writers to use with a generic worksheet).

2. Why do you consider your innovation
to be innovative?
Resume Writers and Career Coaches
themselves describe it as “groundbreaking, revolutionary, a miracle,
brilliant, a pioneering endeavor, can’t live without it, invaluable,
outstanding, comprehensive, an extremely valuable tool, the best single
piece of work, superb,” and more. They say it “created a standard where
there was none in the industry.”
The Career Worksheets have been endorsed
by top industry professionals, including Wendy Enelow (CMA Founder), Deb
Dib (the holder of the most certifications worldwide), Linda Matias
(when she was NRWA President) and others. Numerous other endorsements
are contained on the website.
Authors and publishers warranted their
importance by including them or the questions they contain in published
books, including Interview Magic by Susan Britton-Whittcomb (JIST
Publishing, 2005), The Complete Job Search Guide for Latinos by Murray
Mann (Baron’s Publishing, 2005), as well as my Step-by-Step Resumes:
Build an Outstanding Resume in 10 Easy Steps! book and CD (JIST
Publishing, 2006).
3. Is your innovation unique or a
variation of something that already exists? If it is not unique, please
provide a list of similar products (including URLs if possible) and
describe how you believe yours is different.
The only thing that comes close are
contributed worksheets found in the National Resume Writer’s
Association’s Toolbox and a list of professions with 20 questions
contained in Career Management Alliance’s Secret Room. Up until CMA
requested I provide some of my worksheets, their resource only included
types of questions to ask of clients by general professions. My
Worksheets are by position category (each includes a number of related
positions), not just by profession. Other than these two organization
sites, Career Worksheets cannot be found anywhere else in the world.
4. What influence or benefit does your
innovation have on the careers industry? Who does it help and how
(career professionals, job seekers, etc.)?
It helps both the careers industry and
job seekers in several ways.
Career Professionals:
- Helps Resume Writers and Career
Coaches garner all of the critical client information they need to
write superb resumes and coach their clients.
- Those who use my worksheets have
informed me that they have increased productivity by 70% and helped
grow their business by 500%.
- Significantly decreases time spent
on each client—whether they work in person or remotely.
- Helps turn client resumes or career
coaching sessions around in record time...no matter how complex.
- Avoids having to conduct research as
it is completely done for the career professional (including the
complete Occupational Handbook).
- Helps career professionals be in the
know all the time with information on all professions available at
their fingertips. Savvy professionals do a keyword search on their
computer when talking to a prospective client, which shows they are
“in the know” and it increases their credibility and value
proposition, helping them to land more prospects as clients.
- Because up to five times as many
clients can be handled in the same amount of time, it helps career
professionals earn much more.
- Prevents or reverses burnout.
Job Seeker Clients:
Resume writers know how difficult it is
to obtain the right information from clients to write their resumes and
coach them. That’s because clients find it difficult to answer general
questions related to their work. The Career Worksheets help clients to
be able to inform us of exactly what their responsibilities and
achievements are specific to each of their positions. Because I’ve spent
thousands of hours researching every position possible to put together
this product, I’ve left no stone unturned in asking all of the right
profession-specific questions of job seekers. As a result, clients are
able to easily provide this information so we can do our jobs well in
helping them catapult their careers. The end result helps them land jobs
more quickly, putting them in the top 2% of candidates considered for
positions.
