ABOUT THE PRESENTERS:
Sharon Williams,
M.Ed., owner of JobRockit, has spent the
last 15 years as a college instructor in Northwest Ohio. A genuine
interest in young people —their capabilities and their futures—has
led to the development of solid programs to teach career skills to
hundreds of young college students across the US. Sharon’s special
affinity for this audience, combined with a passion for working in
the careers industry, has led to the development of Career Center
University, an exciting new program offered through CDI to help
catapult college, university, and vocational career centers to new
levels of success.
She is a Certified
Professional Résumé Writer (CPRW), and a member of Career Directors
International (CDI), Career Management Alliance (“The Alliance”),
and the National Association of Résumé Writers (NARW). She is a
*Ten-Time National Award Winner* of *Best Résumé and Cover Letter*
honors through CDI and PARW. She holds BSBA and MEd degrees from
Bowling Green State University.
Laura DeCarlo
is a pioneer in career center program development as a 7-consecutive
year winner of top job placement awards as a Director of Career
Planning and Professional Development for a private college with 13
campuses in two countries. She is also president of A Competitive
Edge Career Service, LLC, a turnkey career services private
practice, and president of Career Directors International.
She holds 11
certifications and two Bachelor degrees. She has won numerous awards
including the Master Resume Writer Lifetime Achievement Award. She
is the creator of the Certified Employment Interview Consultant
program, which was initially launched at universities and colleges
in four countries and is now offered exclusively through CDI. She is
also the author of three books, Interview Pocket RX,
Interviewing: The Gold Standard, and Job Search Bloopers.
Laura is also resume
expert for 54 international and national professional associations
where she works with new graduates through executives. Associations
include such notable organizations as PMI, ASME, ASAE, AMA, ASCE,
ASQ, ASTD, and ASIS International.
